He was the first in the world to apply retinoic acid combined with arsenic trioxide double induction to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia to achieve 100% remission rate. He was the first in the world to apply arsenic trioxide in the treatment of low-risk MDS, with an efficiency rate of over 70%.
