Can sclerodactyly cause penile curvature?

It is possible for sclerosis to cause penile curvature, but penile deformities manifest differently in different people.

Sclerodactyly is a condition in which a variety of factors lead to fibrosis of the tissues within the penis to form a hard knot, which can cause penile pain, deformity, sexual dysfunction, and urination difficulties. Penile deformities vary in presentation and can manifest as curvature, hourglass-like narrowing, dimpling, shortening, etc., and are most noticeable during erection.

Penile curvature can also be caused by a variety of other reasons, including penile trauma; congenital disorders, such as hypospadias, simple penile curvature, dysplasia of the penile fascia and corpus cavernosum; and secondary disorders, such as penile skin or urethral infections, and sclerosis of the skin.

It is recommended that people with curvature of the penis should consult a doctor in time for an early diagnosis and active treatment.
