The significance of postoperative review of early-stage renal cancer is that it can detect recurrence earlier and prolong survival.
Renal cancer is a common renal malignant tumor, accounting for about 85%. Early-stage renal cancer lesions are often limited, and radical surgical resection is often feasible, and radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation and other therapies can be performed according to the condition, and after active treatment, early-stage patients can reach about 90%.
Although the clinical cure rate of early-stage patients is high, there is still a certain recurrence rate after surgery. Therefore, patients should pay attention to follow the doctor’s instructions for regular review, generally every 3-6 months for 1-3 years; every 6 months for 3-5 years; and every year thereafter, in order to effectively detect recurrence, improve the prognosis and prolong the survival period.
