Many people think that only one bowel movement per day is considered normal, in fact, bowel habits vary from person to person and the normal range is wider. Generally speaking, a maximum of three times a day, at least not less than once every three days is considered normal. Even if you have a bowel movement once a day, it is not considered normal if you have a sense of embarrassment, straining to defecate, a feeling of incompleteness, pain in defecation, dryness or dilution of stools, or a long time in defecation. In short, a bowel movement that is not painful and does not affect the quality of life is considered normal.
