How to treat a septic wound

A septic wound is treated mainly by changing the dressing, applying iodophor to disinfect the wound, and if there is significant pus it should be removed and the pus moss should be removed. It can also be done under anesthesia if the patient is in very significant pain. If there is a significant pus cavity, it should be thoroughly debrided and then adequately drained by filling with iodophor gauze or antiseptic gauze. Wound treatment also needs to be followed by a choice of medication, i.e. intravenous anti-infective treatment, commonly used as sodium penicillin, or cephalexin dosing. The wound dressing should be observed during treatment, as the dressing will be soaked through due to increased exudation and should be changed in a timely manner. For this wound will be at least once a day, but also pay attention to advise the patient to increase dietary nutrition, eat more food rich in animal protein, but also be able to promote healing.
