The length of hospitalization for gastric bleeding needs to be judged according to the cause of gastric bleeding, the amount of bleeding and the patient’s recovery, and cannot be generalized. For patients with gastric bleeding caused by gastritis, gastric erosion or acute gastric injury, patients with a one-time bleeding volume of less than 500ml can be discharged from the hospital after about 5-7 days of observation. If the bleeding volume is larger, bleeding more than 1000ml at one time or patients with abnormal vital signs, systematic treatment is needed to clarify the cause, interventional intervention to stop the bleeding if necessary, and discharge only after the condition has been stabilized. In general, patients without malignant tumors and other serious diseases can be considered for discharge after the bleeding stops, the color of the stool turns yellow, and there is no nausea, vomiting, panic and other discomfort, and they can be observed for about 2 days. After gastric bleeding, patients should actively cooperate with doctors for systematic and standardized treatment. After discharge, they should eat lightly, take regular rest and avoid strenuous activities to avoid active bleeding.
