Can oedema heal on its own?

Macroglossia, commonly known as external blepharitis, is mainly caused by infection of some local glands in the eyelid. In mild cases, the infection is just a localized redness and pain in the eyelid, and in severe cases, an abscess may form. However, in severe cases, the pus can become pus-filled, which can lead to significant and severe eye swelling and eye pain, and mostly requires incision and drainage of the pus. However, for mydriasis, at present, the early redness and pain mainly require hot compresses, in addition to the application of some anti-inflammatory eye solutions and eye ointments to promote its recovery. If an abscess really forms, it is usually treated by incision and drainage, followed by some anti-inflammatory eye solution and eye ointment. If the granuloma leads to severe cellulitis of the eyelid, resulting in fever, this condition usually requires systemic treatment with anti-infective medications.
