Can you test on the ninth day of insemination?

IUI means artificial insemination. On the ninth day of insemination, it is usually not possible to detect whether you are pregnant. It is recommended to go to the hospital 14 days after IUI and 7 days after implantation to have a blood test for human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, to check if you are pregnant. The usual time to check for pregnancy is 14 days after ovulation, i.e. 14 days after insemination and 7 days after implantation. This is because this is when the trophoblast cells of the embryo are able to secrete more human chorionic gonadotropin, which is detected in the blood. When tested too early, the hormone levels are too low and less sensitive to be easily detected. In addition, some women are given injections of human chorionic gonadotropin for luteal support after IUI, which usually takes 7 days to metabolize after the injection. If the test is done prematurely, although it may be positive, it is an artifact caused by the drug not being metabolized, not the actual chorionic gonadotropin produced by the pregnancy, and the result is not accurate. Therefore, after IUI, it is recommended not to test for pregnancy too early to avoid mood disruption. You can take a urine test or blood test 14 days after the IUI for more accurate results. If pregnancy is detected, pay attention to rest during pregnancy and do pregnancy tests regularly.
