Do hemangiomas in the liver heal on their own?

Hemangiomas of the liver do not usually heal on their own. Hepatic hemangioma is a relatively common benign tumor of the liver, with cavernous hemangioma being the most common. The cause may be congenital developmental abnormalities, hormonal stimulation, etc. It is currently believed that it does not undergo malignant transformation. If the diameter of hepatic hemangioma is <5 cm, the body often has no obvious symptoms, so no special treatment is needed and regular review is sufficient. However, some hepatic hemangiomas may grow at the edge of the liver or have a diameter of more than 5 cm, which may irritate the liver envelope in the process of enlargement, thus causing pain or bleeding symptoms. Patients with hepatic hemangioma should relax during treatment, actively cooperate with the doctor for examination and treatment, and eat more vegetables and fruits to supplement vitamins, which will help the condition.
