The second is to take an x-ray of the entire spine, including the skull and pelvis, so that we can see where the real curvature of the spine is. Usually, the films taken in some hospitals are one section at a time. For example, they take a film of the thoracic spine or a film of the lumbar spine. This kind of film is not qualified, it is not able to look at the overall scoliosis of the spine. What if surgery is needed? It is possible that an MRI and 3D ct will be needed, and these MRI and 3D ct will of course need to be done on the whole spine.
