Tattooing is a traumatic operation and carries the risk of being infected with HIV.
HIV mainly exists in the body fluids of HIV carriers, such as vaginal secretions, semen, blood, breast milk, etc. Every HIV carrier is a source of infection. Clinically, the main ways of HIV transmission are sexual transmission, mother-to-child transmission and blood transmission. Blood transmission includes blood transfusion, tattooing, eyebrow tattooing, sharing of needles, organ transplantation and so on.
If the tattoo equipment has been properly sterilized, standardized aseptic operation or tattooing with disposable needles, it will not be infected with AIDS. However, if the tattooing equipment is not fully sterilized, HIV carriers can get tattooed, resulting in a large amount of HIV virus on the tattooing equipment, and healthy people using the same equipment for tattooing will be at risk of infection.
It is recommended to go to regular places for tattooing, avoiding irregular invasive operation. Life should pay attention to personal hygiene, do not share razors, toothbrushes, nail clippers and other personal items.
