The presence of white precipitates in women’s urine is often considered a urinary tract infection or stone, and patients should consult a nephrologist or urologist. This can be done by physical signs, routine urine tests, bacterial cultures, and imaging tests such as ultrasound, abdominal plain films, and intravenous pyelograms. Depending on the findings, further treatment may be given, e.g. acute simple bladder may be treated with levofloxacin; pyelonephritis may be treated with amoxicillin, etc.
