Is posterior scapular pain a lung cancer?

Pain in this position of the back scapula. It can be caused by lung cancer. There are several common cases of lung cancer triggering pain around the scapula or in the back shoulder and back area as follows: First, the most important is the location of this lung cancer. For example, if supraglottic sulcus tumor occurs in the apical part of the lung, metastasis of supraclavicular lymph nodes of lung cancer, which invades the adjacent nerve plexus, will cause pain in the back of the shoulder, and this pain is often very intense and even causes limitation of activities, thus causing a manifestation similar to frozen shoulder. Secondly, bone metastasis of lung cancer itself, and metastasis to the back ribs or scapula, will also cause a kind of pain, and the main manifestation of this pain is often persistent soreness. Thirdly, peripheral type of lung cancer, which is close to the back of the pleura, will also stimulate the pleura and cause pain similar to that of the scapula, which needs to be differentiated for diagnosis.
