How to treat endometrial adenocarcinoma

Patients with early-stage endometrial adenocarcinoma are mainly treated by surgery, and further radiotherapy is determined according to the pathological results after surgery; patients with advanced stage are mainly treated by a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The surgical procedure is decided according to the patient’s age and physical condition, and can be performed transabdominally or laparoscopically. During the surgery, the pelvic and abdominal cavities need to be kept for irrigation fluid, cytological examination, exploration of the pelvic and abdominal cavities, removal of the uterus and bilateral adnexa, as well as removal of the pelvic lymph nodes and the lymph nodes adjacent to the abdominal aorta.
