Do you need treatment for two positive hepatitis B surface and core antibodies?

Positive hepatitis B surface antibody and core antibody indicate that the hepatitis B infection is in the recovery stage and immunity is gained, so no treatment can be given. Hepatitis B surface antibody belongs to protective antibody, if the antibody is positive, it means that it is immune to hepatitis B. It is usually seen in the recovery stage of hepatitis B, after vaccination or in the past hepatitis B infection. Positive core antibody mainly indicates that it may be past infection or current infection. If it appears positive together with hepatitis B surface antibody, it indicates that hepatitis B infection has recovered and gained immunity, so treatment is not needed. However, it is recommended to go to the hospital for regular review and quantitative testing of Hepatitis B DNA. Meanwhile, the concentration of Hepatitis B surface antibody in some people may decrease over time, in which case they should be injected with the Hepatitis B vaccine again to improve their immunity and reduce the possibility of Hepatitis B virus infection.
