What to do about early menopause

Menopause is a phenomenon in which a woman has not had a menstrual period for more than a year. Under normal circumstances, menopause occurs at the age of 45-50 years old. Menopause at the age of less than 40 years old is an abnormal phenomenon and is usually caused by premature ovarian failure. For early menopause, hormonal drugs can be taken under the guidance of a clinician to regulate and maintain normal menstrual flow. Premature menopause is directly related to ovarian function. When the ovaries fail to function normally, estrogen secretion in the body will be affected and menstruation will no longer occur, which is a sign of aging and therefore brings great psychological changes to women. For women who want to retain their fertility and do not have a complete loss of ovarian function, they can use hormones or similar drugs to induce ovulation so that the body can produce estrogen or supplement estrogen through in vitro injections, or use Chinese herbal medicine to nourish the qi and blood to increase estrogen levels. Of course, these drugs should be used under the guidance of a clinical obstetrician and gynecologist and should not be used in excess, as overdose will repeatedly stimulate the ovaries and lead to the development of ovarian cancer. As women’s body functions decline after middle age, early menopause should be regulated not only by medication, but also in daily life by ensuring adequate sleep and physical exercise.
