Patients in whom growing pains occur clinically are children and the osteoscale line has not yet closed. Most of them are located in the lower part of the knee joints bilaterally. The symptoms are characterized by localized tingling pain and are significantly worse after activity. If growing pains appear, you should go to the hospital and after the doctor’s questioning, examination and taking X-rays of both knees, a clear diagnosis can be made. If the symptoms are not obvious and the child feels fine, you can consider conservative treatment with local braking and topical blood-boosting medication. If the child feels that the symptoms are more severe and the activity is affected, a small acupuncture treatment should be considered. Since the epiphysis of the child is not closed, care must be taken not to damage the epiphysis during the procedure, so as not to affect bone development.
