The 2014 Respiratory Specialty Committee of the Hebei Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine was successfully held in Cangzhou City from July 19 to 20. The meeting was hosted by the Respiratory Branch of the Hebei Provincial Association of Integrative Medicine and Western Medicine and organized by Cangzhou Central Hospital, with more than 240 physicians from all over the province attending. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ms. Sun Baohua, Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Cangzhou Central Hospital and Vice Chairman of the Respiratory Branch of Hebei Provincial Western and Chinese Medicine, Prof. Yan Xixin, Vice President of Cangzhou Central Hospital, Honorary Chairman of the Respiratory Branch of Hebei Provincial Western and Chinese Medicine and Professor Yan Xixin of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Chairman of the Respiratory Branch of Hebei Provincial Western and Chinese Medicine and Professor Geng Limei, Director of the Respiratory Department of Hebei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Secretary of the Respiratory Branch of Hebei Provincial Western and Chinese Medicine and Professor Geng Limei, Secretary of the Respiratory Branch of Hebei Provincial Western and Chinese Medicine and Professor Geng Limei. The Secretary of the Respiratory Branch, Professor Cai Zhigang of the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, and Vice Chairman, Professor Chen Gang of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University were present. President Sun Hongjiang and Prof. Geng Limei delivered speeches. The members of the Standing Committee of Di Qingguo, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Cangzhou Central Hospital, discussed that the respiratory specialty branch in Hebei Province could jointly hold annual meetings, improve the quality of meeting content while saving resources, and establish multiple groups, such as COPD group, asthma group, and critical care group, to jointly discuss and exchange ideas, showcase the characteristics of each hospital, and improve the business level of physicians. Each hospital can jointly carry out scientific research and combine Chinese and Western medicine to jointly promote the development of respiratory specialty in our province. In addition to give young outstanding physicians to provide a stage to show themselves, according to the contribution made by the physicians, through the selected way to increase the proportion of young and middle-aged members in the membership. The meeting mainly focused on the following topics for academic discussion. I. Bronchoscopic interventional treatment topic: In the topic of bronchoscopic interventional treatment, Prof. Wang Guangfa, Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the First Hospital of Peking University, taught the content of central bronchial interventional treatment, introduced the indications for interventional treatment, combined with vivid surgical videos to illustrate the characteristics and choices of different treatment means, Prof. Wang Hongwu of Beijing Coal General Hospital and Prof. Cai Zhigang of Hebei University taught interventional treatment of benign airway lesions The second hospital in Baoding and the fifth hospital in Shijiazhuang shared actual clinical cases to help people understand the bronchial intervention and clinical application. Second, respiratory infections topic Professor Zhang Bo from Air Force General Hospital gave a report on severe infections with drug-resistant bacteria, which are currently becoming more and more clinical drug-resistant bacteria, and physicians are facing great challenges. Pay attention to the differentiation between infectious diseases and pulmonary infectious diseases, and try to obtain pathogenic evidence such as bronchoalveolar lavage under tracheoscopy. Prof. Yan Xixin from the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University gave a lecture on invasive pulmonary fungal infection, hematological disease, organ transplantation, COPD, application of glucocorticoids, obesity, vegetarian diet are risk factors for Aspergillus infection, histological and pathological examination helps to confirm the diagnosis, but specimens are not easy to obtain, sputum culture, multiple GM tests help to diagnose, pulmonary CT can see fine peribronchitis, exudation, nodules, cavities, etc. The halo sign and crescent sign are more specific. The treatment of choice is voriconazole, and the course of treatment is based on changes in lung CT until the cavitation and exudation disappear, at least 3 months. Several typical cases are also presented. In addition, Prof. Geng Limei from Hebei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine taught the theory of Chinese medicine – lung and large intestine are in phase with each other, which achieves the combination of Chinese and Western medicine and improves everyone’s understanding, which is very helpful for clinical work. The meeting closely followed the theme of the respiratory branch of the Chinese and Western Medicine Association, and the content of the meeting was well received by the participants, who listened carefully to the lectures of experts and said they benefited greatly. At the end of the meeting, Ms. Sun Baohua, Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Cangzhou Central Hospital and Vice Chairman of the Respiratory Branch of the Hebei Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, gave a closing speech, thanking all the experts and participants for actively participating in this meeting, hoping to have more opportunities to exchange and cooperate with experts from Beijing, the capital, the province and other cities, and to add bricks to the development of the respiratory specialty in Hebei Province.
