A feeling of fire in the chest is mainly seen in bile reflux gastritis or reflux esophagitis, the underlying cause of which is a clinical symptom caused by various causes of impaired emptying of gastric juices or even bile reflux into the esophagus. It usually manifests as a feeling of fire in the chest, or what is clinically known as burning pain, and usually requires further gastroscopy to clarify the diagnosis. In the case of functional reflux esophagitis, or bile reflux gastritis caused by spastic pyloric obstruction, it is usually relieved by medication to control acid, protect the gastric mucosa, and promote gastric emptying. If it is organic, such as scarring pyloric obstruction, surgical treatment is usually required.
