Chemotherapy is an important treatment for non-small cell lung cancer, especially after surgery for non-small cell lung cancer, and is required if combined with lymph node metastasis. Chemotherapy is based on cisplatin in combination with third-generation chemotherapy drugs such as gemcitabine, vincristine, docetaxel, and pemetrexed. Chemotherapy is administered every three weeks, and four to six cycles of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy are sufficient. In the case of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, or locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer, cisplatin-based combination therapy with third-generation drugs is an important treatment. The treatment regimen, principles, and doses are the same as for early postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer. The main side effects are hematologic toxicity, gastrointestinal reactions, etc.
