EBV IGA negative means that there has been no previous infection with EBV, or there has been a previous infection with EBV, but the body has not produced antibodies for various reasons. EBV belongs to the Herpesviridae family and its genome is DNA.Humans are the hosts of EBV and its transmission is through saliva. Asymptomatic infections are most common in children; more than 90% of children aged 3-5 years have been infected with EBV, and antibodies to the virus are present in 90% of adults. If you are negative for EBV IGA, you have not been infected with EBV, or you have been infected but have not produced antibodies due to low immunity. To prevent EBV infection, it is recommended to get vaccinated against EBV, practice good personal hygiene, do not spit, and avoid mouth-to-mouth feeding of infants.
