How to determine the bone growth potential of scoliosis patients?

  Risser’s sign: On an orthopantomograph of the pelvis, the total length from the anterior superior iliac spine to the posterior superior iliac spine is divided into four segments.  When measured from anterior to posterior, the first 1/4 with epiphysis is degree I, the first 1/2 is degree II, and so on, 3/4 is degree III, 4/4 is degree IV, and the epiphysis is completely fused is degree V.
