Early symptoms of leukemia

1.Sternal pressure pain Sternal pressure pain is a symptom unique to leukemia, often persistent, accompanied by bone and joint pain, mostly seen in children. 2. Fever The body temperature can reach 38℃~39℃, and the whole body is sore. This fever is due to a decrease in mature granulocytes in the blood and a decrease in immune function combined with infections such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, etc. It can be accompanied by inflammation and ulcers in the eyes, ears, mouth, nose and oropharynx, and patients often feel tired. 3.Infection The pathogens are mostly bacteria. In the late stage of the disease, the possibility of fungal infection gradually increases due to long-term granulocyte lower than normal and the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics. Viral infections are rare but dangerous and should be noted. Bleeding Bleeding sites can spread throughout the body, with skin petechiae, petechiae, gum bleeding, nasal bleeding most common, but also the retina, intraauricular bleeding and intracranial, gastrointestinal, respiratory and other visceral hemorrhage, and often cause progressive anemia. 5. Anemia can appear at an early stage, and in a few cases, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) may first appear months or years before the diagnosis, and then develop into leukemia later. Patients often have symptoms such as weakness, pallor, palpitations, shortness of breath, and edema of the lower limbs.
