However, because of the low incidence of the disease in children, clinicians often pay little attention to prompting the corresponding examination. In our hospital, the colonoscopy was successfully completed for a 5-month-old child under general anesthesia in only 25 minutes, and the child woke up smoothly after the procedure without tracheal intubation, which is a truly non-invasive examination. The child had an erosive inflammation of the intestinal mucosa with bleeding, which was a key guide for clinicians in the next step of treatment.
