Prevention and dietary contraindications of bone marrow edema

Osteomyelitis is an inflammatory disease caused by septic bacterial infection of the bone marrow, bone cortex and periosteum, mostly of hematogenous origin, but also caused by trauma or surgical infection, mostly from boils and carbuncles or other foci of septic viruses entering the bloodstream and reaching the bone tissue. The bones of the extremities are the most susceptible, and the hip joint is the most common. It is common to have recurrent attacks that seriously affect physical and mental health and work capacity. Acute osteomyelitis starts with high fever and localized pain, and when it turns into chronic osteomyelitis, there will be ulceration, pus flow, dead bone or cavity formation. Severe cases are often life-threatening, sometimes necessitating emergency amputation, resulting in lifelong disability. Prevention: 1. Boils, furuncles, sores, carbuncles and upper respiratory tract infections are the most common infectious diseases and are most likely to cause hematogenous osteomyelitis as a secondary infection. Therefore, prevention of boils, sores, carbuncles and upper respiratory tract infections is very important to prevent the occurrence of osteomyelitis. 2. Traumatic infection, including infection after tissue injury and infection after bone injury, is also a common cause of osteomyelitis, so attention should be paid to active prevention in daily life. 3.For infectious diseases, early detection and timely treatment should be carried out. 4.Open fractures should be prevented from infection in the first place. Open fractures that have been internally fixed, once infection occurs and spreads to the medullary cavity, inflammatory infection often spreads along the intramedullary pin to both ends, and infection may also form under the skin at the site of intramedullary pin penetration or penetration, once it occurs, special attention should be paid to first remove the internal fixation to control the infection. Diet: Appropriate to eat: 1. Appetizing food is recommended; 2. Vitamin-rich food is recommended; 3. Food containing high quality protein is recommended. Not suitable to eat: 1, avoid eating spicy, greasy food; 2, avoid eating cold, hard food.
