Cirrhosis decompensation is irreversible, but it can be treated to slow down the extent of cirrhosis and allow liver function to be maintained to a certain extent. Cirrhosis can be treated with medication and surgery. 1. Drug treatment: for viral infection leading to viral hepatitis cirrhosis, anti-viral treatment can be used, commonly used drugs such as lamivudine. Hepatoprotective drugs, such as compound glycyrrhizin, are also prescribed. 2. Surgical treatment: if the serious cirrhosis is not compensated, liver transplantation should be used. For patients with decompensated cirrhosis, lifestyle changes must be made, and sodium intake should be controlled.
