Gallstones of 2 cm in size can only be cured by surgical treatment. As a common benign disease of the hepatobiliary system, gallstones are believed to be caused by the imbalance between the dissolution of bile acids and cholesterol in the bile, resulting in the formation of water crystals of cholesterol, which form dense stones under the action of nucleation factors. The indications for gallstones or gallbladder stone surgery mainly include recurrent acute or chronic cholecystitis, gallbladder stones with a diameter of more than 1 cm, long-standing or asymptomatic gallbladder stones, long-term presence for more than 10 years, the possibility of inducing malignant changes, and gallbladder stones combined with gallbladder polyps.
