Ki67+90% indicates that the Ki67 positivity rate is 90%, suggesting active tumor cell proliferation, high risk of recurrence and metastasis, and poorer prognosis.
Ki67 antigen is a tumor cell proliferation-related protein, which can be detected by immunohistochemical staining of the proportion of Ki67-positive cells to the total number of cells detected.Ki67 antigen exists only in the late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle, but not in the G0 phase of the cell nucleus quiescence, and the Ki67 antigen has a short half-life, so it is a reliable indicator of the tumor’s proliferative activity.
According to the level of Ki67 positivity can be categorized as high or low expression or negative or positive. Generally, Ki67 positive rate of 90% belongs to strong positive or high expression, the tumor cell proliferation is active, the tumor differentiation is poor, the degree of malignancy is high, easy to recurrence and metastasis, the prognosis is poor.
It is recommended that patients undergoing immunohistochemistry examination should consult with a specialist in time, and choose the appropriate treatment plan according to the Ki67 positivity rate as well as other indicators.
