Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor of the stomach, and survival after diagnosis is not easy to determine, depending on the stage, classification, and treatment of gastric cancer, individual patient differences, psychological status, and sensitivity to treatment.
Generally speaking, patients with lower stages can be surgically resected, followed by chemotherapy, and the five-year survival rate is relatively high after regular treatment. If the patient is found to have advanced gastric cancer or has metastases, even with formal treatment, survival is often less than a year, and palliative care is often used.
