Photodynamic therapy for recurrence of acromegaly

Condyloma acuminatum (CA) is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), and the current worldwide HPV infection rate is 10%. It is a subclinical infection that has been infected with the HPV virus, but no warts have grown, and the lesions can only be observed with the help of a magnifying glass, colposcope, urethroscope, or 3% to 5% glacial acetic acid applied externally. HPV latent infection, also known as HPV occult infection, is a state of HPV presence that does not cause any clinical manifestations or histological changes after HPV enters the body’s skin and mucous membranes, and can only be detected by molecular biology methods. It is believed that HPV subclinical and latent infections are contagious and can become the main cause of recurrence of condyloma acuminata through self-transmission, which needs to be actively treated, but traditional treatment methods can only remove the warts visible to the naked eye and fail to treat the subclinical and latent infections. The most important feature of PDT is that it not only eliminates the visible lesions, but also treats the invisible subclinical and latent infections efficiently and directly without damaging the normal skin tissue, which greatly reduces the chance of recurrence of warts. The principle of PDT is that endogenous or exogenous photosensitive substances in biological tissues are irradiated by the corresponding wavelength of light, absorbing photon energy and changing from the ground state to the excited state, and the physical de-excitation process can produce fluorescence. The fluorescence spectroscopy can be used to diagnose diseases; its chemical degradation process can produce a large amount of reactive oxygen species, the most important of which is the single linear state oxygen. The reactive oxygen species can interact with a variety of biological macromolecules. PDT treatment of CA is characterized by a high degree of tissue selectivity, selectively killing HPV-infected cells without significant effects on normal cells, with no significant systemic adverse effects and only mild tingling in some patients. The general treatment method is less effective for CA in special areas such as urethral orifice and inner anus, PDT treatment is effective and has a lower recurrence rate. The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who have been in the business for a long time, and they’ve been in the business for a long time. During the treatment period, smoking and drinking are forbidden; maintain an optimistic and healthy state of mind.
