How the novel coronavirus is transmitted

The novel coronavirus can be transmitted continuously from person to person. The main transmission routes that have been identified include: 1) respiratory droplet transmission, where the infected person sneezes, coughs, speaks and exhales droplets that are inhaled directly by the infected person at close range can lead to infection; 2) contact transmission, where droplets are deposited on the surface of various objects, touching and contaminating the fingers of a susceptible person and then touching the mucous membranes of the mouth, nasal cavity and eyes can lead to infection. In addition, as of February 3, 2020, the latest research found that the virus contains nucleic acid components in the feces of people infected with the virus, so it does not exclude the possibility of transmission through the fecal-oral route.
