Is it better to get out of bed without a harness for a c-section?

Getting out of bed after a cesarean section is recommended preferably with the use of a girdle, which helps to promote incision healing.

The use of a girdle after a cesarean section reduces abdominal pressure, strengthens the lower back and strengthens the abdomen, thus avoiding the risk of incision rupture caused by excessive movement that increases abdominal pressure. It also promotes skin-to-skin closure of the incision and reduces C-section incision pain when moderately girdled.

The use of a lap band after a cesarean section can begin on the day of the operation and can generally be used for up to a month before being lifted, depending on the degree of healing of the incision.

The corset can be removed when you are in bed or resting, but when you get out of bed, it is best to put it on to reduce the adverse effects of increased abdominal pressure on the incision when you get out of bed and to avoid rupture of the incision.
