Newborn sun jaundice pose

The neonatal jaundice tanning position can be supine or prone. Jaundice is due to bilirubin metabolism disorders, causing an increase in the concentration of bilirubin within the serum, resulting in yellowing of the sclera, skin, and body fluids. It is divided into physiologic jaundice and pathologic jaundice. Physiological jaundice can mostly subside on its own, while pathological jaundice can jeopardize the health of newborns. Newborn jaundice should expose the skin as much as possible, and the irradiation area should be as large as possible. Positive jaundice should cover the eyes with an eye mask to prevent blue light from negatively affecting the child’s vision. If parents find that the jaundice of newborns persists, they should consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and actively cooperate with the treatment so as to avoid the delay of the disease.
