How to properly treat hand trauma in a timely manner?

The hand is one of the most commonly used organs in daily life and work. Since the hand does not have much protection in most cases and needs to constantly touch various tools and objects, its reflexive support and bracing in case of trauma (such as fall or impact) also makes it one of the most injury-prone parts of the whole body. Immediate out-of-hospital treatment for patients with traumatic hand injury: 1, rinse the wound Remove the dirt around the wound, rinse the wound repeatedly with tap water (sterile physiological saline if available, or clean natural water if conditions are poor) for 10~30 minutes, disinfection precautions: prevent iodine and alcohol from flowing into the wound, and avoid using colored disinfectants such as iodine as much as possible to avoid affecting the observation of blood flow to the limb (finger). 2.Preservation of severed limb (finger) body After simple rinsing, the limb (finger) body is wrapped with sterile gauze or clean gauze, and then wrapped with a clean plastic bag, and the plastic bag is placed in a glass bottle or other container, and ice is placed between the glass bottle and the plastic bag to reduce the metabolism of the severed limb (finger) body. 3.Transfer of patients Transfer the patient to a nearby hospital with treatment capability as soon as possible. Doctor’s tip: Do not put the affected limb into ice water or saline for preservation before sending it to the hospital.
