The most commonly used drugs for the treatment of nephrotic syndrome are as follows: i) ACEI or ARB drugs; ii) glucocorticoids; iii) immunosuppressive and cytotoxic drugs, such as cyclosporine, tacrolimus, cyclophosphamide, total glucoside of Leigongjiang; iv) Chinese medicines, such as Huangkui capsule and Bailing capsule. Different types of nephritis can lead to nephrotic syndrome, and different drugs need to be selected according to the type of pathology, for example, the most common microscopic lesions in children can be treated with simple application of glucocorticoids; while membranous nephropathy, which is mostly seen in old and middle-aged people, is ineffective with simple application of hormone therapy and requires the addition of immunosuppressive or cytotoxic drugs. As long as patients do not have severe renal abnormalities, severe hypotension, hyperkalemia, etc., they need to be treated with ACEI or ARB type drugs.
