Compound forcodine is a compound preparation containing forcodine, phenylpropylene, pseudoephedrine and guaiacol glycerol ether, which has the effect of suppressing cough as well as reducing the consistency of airway secretions and acting as a phlegm remover. It is mainly used for cough, sputum, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat and other symptoms caused by influenza, as well as cold and bronchial irritation. The usage is usually 10ml/dose for adults, 3-4 times/day. Its main adverse reactions include mild drowsiness, dry mouth, lethargy, occasional nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal discomfort and constipation. Monitor closely for adverse reactions during administration.
