The order of disinfection for abdominal surgery involves disinfecting the surgical area three times with iodophor and then disinfecting the intended surgical incision with alcohol. In fact, the order of disinfection for surgery is simpler, but there is a set of principle disinfection process from the beginning to the end of the surgery. For example, the appendicitis surgery in the abdomen is in the lower right abdomen, and the disinfection includes getting rid of local sweat hair as well as pubic hair one day in advance, while the disinfection scope should reach the upper 1/3 of the thighs in the lower part, the flat nipples in the upper part, and the posterior axillary line in both sides, disinfecting three times, once to reduce the disinfection area than once. The disinfection area varies for different locations of the surgical incision, but the disinfection area should be at least 15 cm around the incision, and if the incision is extended during surgery, the disinfection area of the skin should be expanded accordingly.
