The role of the night needle

For IVF, nocturnal injections are required. Nocturnal injections refer to chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) or gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a), a treatment modality used in cases where women use IVF to obtain multiple eggs. These drugs mainly have an ovulation-inducing effect, allowing multiple eggs to develop and controlling the timing of ovulation to facilitate successful egg retrieval. The injections are given at night and are commonly known as night injections. When the follicles have reached a certain level of development, the doctor will arrange for night injections to promote egg maturation and assist in egg retrieval.
