Double eyelid surgery methods are divided into three types of methods: submerged line method, small incision and full incision. Each surgical method has its own advantages and disadvantages and is suitable for different people, there is no good or bad, patients should choose the surgical method that suits them according to their eye conditions. The buried eyelid approach is mainly suitable for young patients with long lid fissures, thin eyelids and no skin laxity, and is easy to perform with less post-operative swelling. The advantage is that the eyelid line is natural, without incisions, and recovery is fast. The disadvantage is that the upper eyelid line tends to become shallow and narrow, or even disappear, and if the sutures are buried too shallowly, they are easily exposed. Full or small incision eyelids are widely available for people over 18 years old with any type of single eyelid, and are especially suitable for patients with lax eyelid skin, or full, fatty upper lids that must have some skin and fat removed. The heavy eyelid line is firm and long lasting with deep creases, but it requires a high level of skill, familiarity with eyelid anatomy, a solid foundation in plastic surgery operations, and a long post-operative recovery time, and should be used with caution if patients have scars.
