Double eyelid cutting process

Double eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is one of the most common procedures in plastic and cosmetic surgery. Generally speaking, double eyelid visually increases the eye contour, adds dimension to the eye, makes the eye appear larger, and makes the eyelashes upturned, giving a vivid, evocative feeling. The procedure is divided into the following steps: 1. design: good design before surgery is an important step, and good communication with the patient to design the desired height and curvature of the double eyelid to the patient’s satisfaction; 2. anesthesia: the surgery is performed under local anesthesia, after sterilization of the pavement (removed), and local anesthesia with lidocaine; 3. operation: the skin is cut along the designed curvature, and then the appropriate amount of orbicularis oculi muscle is removed in front of the lid plate. In case of swollen eyes it is also necessary to open the orbital septum and remove the excess fat herniated internally, and finally stop the bleeding and suture the incision. When suturing, the patient needs to open the eyes and repeatedly adjust the width, symmetry and smoothness of the eyelid line; 4. Apply antibiotic ointment to the incision, apply a dressing to protect the incision, and apply a cold compress to both eyes immediately after surgery. In addition, before cutting double eyelids, attention should be paid to a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s own situation, whether there is a cold, diarrhea, fever, etc.; whether there is a history of drug allergies, whether scarring; whether there is a history of hypertension, heart disease, diabetes; what drugs are usually taken orally; check blood, urine, stool routine; women should not operate during menstruation and other related matters, so as not to bring unnecessary surgical risks.
