Common causes of cerebral infarction

The common causes of cerebral infarction are as follows: 1, atherosclerosis of the neck or intracranial vessels, atherosclerosis after the formation of plaque, plaque rupture caused by thrombus formation; 2, cerebral infarction often embolism, such as thrombotic plaque off the neck, with the blood flow falling into the small intracranial vessels, causing blood flow interruption caused by cerebral infarction. Another important cause of embolism is cardiogenic, most commonly in patients with atrial fibrillation, where long thrombi fall off in the atria causing cerebral infarction, or congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, or heart valve replacement, which is prone to long thrombi, causing cerebral infarction; 3, other causes, including hypercoagulable state of the blood system or gas embolism, fat embolism, causing cerebral infarction.
