What is the role of sensory training

Sensory integration training plays an important role in promoting brain development, motor coordination, and intellectual growth in infants and toddlers. The key to the effectiveness of sensory integration training is the combination of visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, joint, muscle, and vestibular stimulation with movement, and the guidance of a professional sensory integration teacher. In this way, sensory integration training has obvious effects on improving infants’ concentration, motor coordination and academic performance. Sensory integration training improves neurophysiological inhibition of the brain, promotes sensory integration of the brain, promotes infant and toddler brain development, and improves intelligence. Sensory integration training mainly improves children’s hand-eye coordination, which increases the speed and stability of movement and enhances the coordination of movement by the central nervous system. Sensory integration training has a significant effect on improving children’s fine motor skills, visual discrimination and responsiveness. Second, sensory integration training can improve motor coordination. Sensory integration training is effective for infants and toddlers with poor motor balance and uncoordinated movements. For those children with poor motor coordination, the training can be significantly improved. This is the reason why sensory integration training is very helpful for children with cerebral palsy, and the younger the child, the better the effect. Third, sensory integration training can improve children’s academic performance and improve their aversion to school. Sensory integration training is not only the training of physical functions, but also involves the interrelationship between the mind, brain, and body. After a period of focused behavior training, children’s movements become coordinated, their emotions become stable, and their attention improves, and for children with learning difficulties, their academic performance will be significantly improved after participating in sensory integration training.
