How to Determine Stomach Bleeding

The rate of stomach bleeding is very important as it is mainly based on the amount of bleeding. If the bleeding is between 5-50mL, the patient usually has positive fecal occult blood, but the stool is yellow from the surface, if the stomach bleeding is between 50-100mL, the patient may have black stool, if the bleeding is more, the black stool discharged by the patient is even darker in color, and it may be tarry, and if the patient’s bleeding is more than 300mL and around 500mL, the patient usually does not have heart rate If the patient’s bleeding volume is more than 300mL and around 500mL, the patient usually does not have changes in heart rate and blood pressure, and can usually keep the blood volume stable through self-regulation. If the patient bleeds more than 800mL at a time, he/she may experience shock, rapid heart rate or lowered blood pressure, etc. He/she may also vomit blood, i.e., there is blood in the vomit, or the vomit is coffee-colored, or even the vomit is bright red and contains blood clots.
