For example, secretory otitis media and tinnitus and deafness are difficult to be cured clinically, but the application of Chinese medicine therapy is still effective. For example, for clinically common secretory otitis media, modern medicine mostly adopts antibiotics, glucocorticoids, antihistamines, local nasal drops with mucosal vasoconstrictors, tympanic membrane puncture and fluid extraction, incision and tube placement, etc. Although they have certain efficacy, they are not yet ideal. Repeated tympanic membrane punctures and incisions can easily cause scarring of the tympanic membrane, and can easily cause adhesions, causing some pain to the patient and high costs. If the tympanic tube is placed, a few patients are prone to detubation or blood clots and sticky secretions often block the tube, which not only fails to treat the patient but also aggravates the condition. In addition, if the tube is placed for too long, it may cause middle ear infection and increase the possibility of purulent otitis media due to tympanic membrane perforation. Chinese medicine practitioners can confirm that if the disease belongs to the type of wind and evil attack and blockage of the meridian, it can be treated with herbal medicines to remove wind and heat and disperse evil and open the orifice; if the disease belongs to the type of evil and poison and stagnation of qi and blood, it can be treated with herbal medicines to move qi and blood and open and close the orifice, or with the Chinese medicine developed by the author, which is also very effective.
