Principles of anti-tuberculosis treatment

For anti-tuberculosis drugs, it is generally recommended that a quadruple dose of anti-tuberculosis drugs, such as rifampin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol, be taken regularly for four months, usually in a single dose. Patients should take care to drink milk or yogurt at night during the medication period, which has a positive effect on relieving the toxic side effects of the drugs and strengthening the immunity of patients. In addition, after four months of quadruple drug, patients should take two months of diphtheria, mainly isoniazid and rifampin. Patients should still take the drugs at the same time, but they should pay attention to the regularity, the whole process, and the full amount, and avoid the situation of missed doses. After about six months of anti-tuberculosis treatment, most patients will be improved or cured of tuberculosis. In addition, in general, patients should pay attention to more rest, do not stay up late and do not drink alcohol. The damage to liver function will also be slowly reduced by taking as little or no medication as possible during the cold. Patients should pay attention to the liver function and blood test every two weeks while taking the medication to see if there is any abnormal increase of glutamic acid and glutamic oxalacetic transaminase and decrease of white blood cells. If there is a decrease in blood cells and liver function, further treatment with leukocyte-raising drugs and liver-protective drugs may be required if necessary.
