How to treat acute testicular torsion

Acute testicular torsion is primarily treated surgically, and the earlier the treatment is performed, the better the prognosis.
Acute testicular torsion, which causes localized pain, redness and swelling of the scrotal skin, is one of the more serious surgical emergencies and is treated with surgery as soon as it is diagnosed in order to save testicular function.
During the surgery, the testicle will be reset. If the color of the testicle changes from purplish-blue to pink, it means that the testicular function still exists and the testicle can be preserved, but testicular exploration and fixation should be carried out as early as possible to be able to prevent further torsion; if the testicular necrosis is already clear, the affected testicle needs to be removed.
After surgical treatment, we should pay attention to rest, bed rest, avoid strenuous exercise; at the same time, we should follow the doctor’s instructions to review, and seek medical advice in time when abnormal symptoms occur.
