There are many causes of edema, including: i. Cardiogenic edema, which mainly refers to right heart failure. Cardiogenic edema is usually found in the lower part of the body, mainly in the lower limbs. Nephrogenic edema can be seen in various nephritis and kidney diseases, and most of them develop from eyelid edema to generalized edema. Hepatogenic edema is most often caused by cirrhosis, hepatitis leading to hypoproteinemia, portal hypertension, impaired hepatic lymphatic reflux, secondary aldosterone, and other factors. Fourth, edema due to malnutrition is caused by chronic wasting disease, long-term nutritional deficiency, protein-losing gastrointestinal disease, severe burns, etc. Edema can be produced by hypoproteinemia or vitamin B1 deficiency.
