Acute laryngitis is mainly treated by general treatment, medication and other treatments, and tracheotomy emergency when necessary.
1. General treatment: adults try to speak less, make vocal rest, and keep enough sleep; children keep quiet, reduce crying can also reduce respiratory difficulties, routinely give low-flow oxygen.
2. Drug treatment: mainly use antibiotics such as cefdinir, use glucocorticoids and other drugs, and according to the condition of the different routes of administration, such as nebulized inhalation budesonide, oral prednisone and so on. Symptomatic treatment can also be combined with the use of aminoglutethimide and other phlegmatic drugs.
3. Tracheotomy: When severe respiratory distress occurs, immediate tracheotomy can provide first aid.
Acute laryngitis is usually more severe in children than in adults, and pediatric acute laryngitis can be life-threatening. It is recommended that both adults and children with symptoms of acute laryngitis should be seen promptly for examination and treatment to avoid aggravation of the condition.
