What are the causes of chills in infusion

When chills appear in infusion, infusion reaction is generally considered. Infusion reaction is mainly febrile reaction, which is caused by the input of pyrogen, drugs, impurities, too low temperature of medicine, too high concentration of medicine or too fast infusion during intravenous infusion. The febrile reaction is mainly manifested as chills, high fever, chills, dryness of limbs or face, which may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, delirium, etc. Severe cases may lead to coma, blood pressure drop, shock and other major manifestations. The early or late onset of fever is determined by the amount of pyrogen input, the individual’s physical condition, and the nature of the pyrogen. In general, if infusion reaction occurs, stop the infusion immediately and give symptomatic treatment.
