Criteria for mental health

  The World Health Organization defines health as physical health, mental health, good morals and good social adjustment. In the past, people paid more attention to physical health, but now, with the improvement of material living standards and the intensification of social competition, more and more people are concerned about mental health. So what can be considered psychological health? Psychologists describe the criteria of mental health as the following: i. A moderate sense of security, self-esteem, and a sense of value for self-achievement.  Second, moderate self-criticism, not over-aggrandizing themselves nor over-critical of themselves.  Third, in daily life, with a moderate degree of initiative, not swayed by the environment.  Fourth, rational, realistic, objective, have good contact with reality, can tolerate the blow of frustration in life, no excessive illusions.  V. Moderate acceptance of personal needs, and the ability to meet such needs.  Sixth, have self-awareness, understand their own motivation and purpose, can make an objective estimate of their own ability.  The ability to maintain the integrity and harmony of one’s personality, the ability to adapt one’s values to the standards of society, and the ability to focus on one’s work.  VIII. Have realistic goals in life.  The ability to learn from experience and change oneself to meet the needs of the environment.  X. Have good interpersonal relationships and the ability to love and be loved.  Eleven, without violating social standards, can maintain their own individuality, neither overly flattering nor overly seeking social approval, have personal independent opinions, and have standards for judging right and wrong.
